Introduction to the "Chunli Sunshine Program"

The "Chunli Sunshine Program" is a key medical initiative jointly launched by Chunli Medical and the China Charity Federation in August 2009. Each year, Chunli Medical donates artificial joint products worth 1 million yuan to the China Charity Federation, providing free internal fixation materials required for artificial joint replacement surgeries to impoverished patients suffering from severe joint diseases.

Patient Introduction

Patient Fang, a 56-year-old unemployed female, is a subsistence allowance recipient with no income. Her husband passed away due to illness in 2006, and her son suffered from paraplegia caused by a burst fracture of the L2 vertebral body due to trauma in 2018. She hereby specially applies for donation under the "Chunli Sunshine Program".

The patient is diagnosed with developmental dysplasia of the left hip (DDH), presenting with hip claudication for 50 years, left hip pain for 20 years, and symptom exacerbation over the past year. The condition has impaired her walking ability and affected daily life and physical labor, and she is scheduled to undergo left total hip arthroplasty.

Xie Guijie Chief Physician & Associate Professor, Director of Joint Surgery, Chizhou People's Hospital. Graduated from the Clinical Medicine major of Anhui Medical University; he studied new arthroscopic techniques and posterior microendoscopic discectomy for lumbar disc herniation at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital and Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University.He holds multiple committee posts, including Member of Anhui Digital Orthopedics Branch of SICOT China Digital Orthopedics Society, Standing Member of Orthopedics Committee of Anhui Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Society, etc. He developed over 20 new technologies/projects, won the Third-Class Chizhou Science and Technology Award, and published 11 papers in national journals (6 as first author). He boasts profound expertise in hip/knee/shoulder arthroplasty, arthroscopic knee surgery, cruciate ligament reconstruction, and minimally invasive treatment of spinal and extremity fractures.
